Sat Aug 26 - From 8pm-2am, free entry every Saturday Night, we continue to present our weekly series of Rooftop DJ Sessions, where we invite you to drink, dance and seriously get merry to the beats, breaks and eclectic sounds, delivered by a line up of heavyweight good time DJs, Free Entry up on the (weatherproof) roof at The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden. 

And this time it’s a bank holiday special hosted by the well eclectic and truly funked up DJSOULPROVYDER, who’s here to bring the positive Bank Holiday noise and good time dance to the rooftop, this time til 2am. Gonna be a well HOT 1. Carnival Vibes Galore!

DJSOULPROVYDER

djsoulprovyder has been a purveyor and collector of 70’s soul jazz funk latin and rare groove since 1991. Originally dj’ing alongside the ten piece acid jazz funk band Blk2Basic where they hosted a weekly live jam music session called “Spontaneous Construction” which ran for nearly fifteen years. He then developed his own brand called the Soul Solution Soundsystem featuring various vocalist & musicians performing live over his dj sets.

His current sets include a selection of past and present music with a flexibility of joining the dots and crossing over many musical genres, journeying from his disco and afro-latin jazz funk/fusion roots to a deeper electronic afro-tech and broken-beat sound.

Over the years djsoulprovyder has played at various venues across London including the world famous Jazz Cafe in Camden, Ronnie Scott’s, Koko, Sketch, Momo’s, Madame Jojo’s, Groucho Club, East Village, H&G Shoreditch and POW to name a few. He has performed at the Isle of Wight and V Festival for the award winning Bacardi B-Bar, the legendary Southport Weekender and Love Supreme Jazz Festival.

As one of the resident dj’s at Sunsplash Festival in Turkey for eight years he played alongside artists such as Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Osunlade, Karizma, Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Phil Asher, Atjazz, Shuya Okino, and Zara McFarlane.

He now has residencies with Hidden Beach Hastings, La Escollera Beach Club Ibiza, the Asa Baako (One Dance) festival Ghana and at We Out Here festival hosting the Movement tent which celebrates over ten years of 4 to the Floor putting dance back into dance music. His monthly & bi-monthly residencies with 4TTF (Global House Movement) is a collective of dj’s, dancers and music producers who curate their own events for the worldwide house dance community at various venues across London and the UK.
