Every year LatinoLife, which attracts an audience 40k people to Finsbury Park every year, gives over 100 young UK-Latino musicians and dancers, many from marginalised communities, their biggest ever audience. It's 4 stages over two days include The Candela Stage - the UK’s only festival stage dedicated to homegrown Urban-Latin music - showcasing up and coming artists whose unique fusing of UK urban music with Latin urban music, promises to be the next UK-based genre to blow up.

In focusing on UK talent as opposed to  flying in international stars, the festival gives opportunities to young UK musicians to launch their careers and shine on the global stage. In preceding months, the LatinoLife provides free mentoring, rehearsal and studio sessions to ensure they are festival ready. The media coverage of their performances on that stage, e.g. BBC London news/Radio London, is the first time that these underrepresented artists access mainstream media.

In 2021, as a direct result of LatinoLife's  Candela Stage, Atlantic Records UK launched Candela Records, the UK's only Urban Latin Record label, in partnership with LatinoLife. Austin Daboh, EVP, Atlantic Records, said it approached us because : “LatinoLife has proved to have its finger on the pulse when it comes to Latin music creation in the UK, and has been at the heart of the Latin community for many years. Everyone at Atlantic and ADA is looking forward to shining a spotlight on this incredibly vibrant music scene and to finding the Latino superstars of the future.”

The Festival has taken young Latin artists out of the margins, 90% of whom from low income and/or immigrant backgrounds, by helping them access audiences who had never heard Latin music and opportunities to forge careers in the mainstream music industry.
