FATHERS DAY SUNDAY ESPECIAL!!! Sun Jun 16 (1pm-8pm, £5/7 Entry) - Latin Jazz Brunch Live presents a two fold all day Sunday celebration as we blow our horn and beat the drum in honour of FATHERS DAY and the launch of the brilliant new album BEYOND BAHULA. CLAUDE DEPPA & CLARE HIRST BAND performing 2 righteous live sets, alongside, Latin/World Music Selector Supreme DJ JOHN ARMSTRONG up on the roof at The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden. 

Expect an all afternoon session where we come together, eat, drink and be seriously, joyfully entertained. With a special authentic Dominican Brunch Menu lovingly prepared by BOCA CHICA and a double celebration all day long, you know where to come.

This new lineup has been working together for the last year, having just finished recording a new album “Beyond Bahula” which will be released in 2024. It consists of 8 original tracks written by Clare and Claude. Spanning influences from Abdullah Ibrahim and Julian Bahulah to Ornette Coleman and beyond, the band is high energy and the township grooves will have the audience jumping to their feet.

Between them they have worked for a wide variety of musicians including Carla Bley, Andy Shepherd, Brotherhood of Breath, David Bowie,Courtney Pine and Pharaoh Sanders. The music is dizzyingly eclectic incorporating African, Afro-Cuban, Jazz, improvised, soul and funk. A good time to be had by all !
