LA BOMBA 2005-2015

La Bomba was the UK's London's pioneering and longest-running reggaeton and urban Latin club night, which held a famous multi-room residency at the Ministry of Sound. Founded around 2005 by LatinoLife and promoter DJ José Luis (known as the UK Don of Reggaeton). After starting briefly at the Hammersmith Palais, the night found its spiritual home at Ministry of Sound in 2006, running a massive residency there for nearly a decade. It introduced urban Latin music to the UK and brought global Latin superstars like Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Pitbull, and Wisin & Yandel long before reggaeton became mainstream pop music. The main room ("The Box") featured heavy reggaeton, dancehall, and Latin hip-hop mashups, while other bars and rooms played salsa, merengue, bachata, and Latin house. It served as a vital platform for young, bilingual, and bicultural Latino artists, dancers, and DJs in London. The massive success of La Bomba led to international spin-offs, festival dates, and a two-year residency at Pacha in Ibiza. reggaeton clubnight and took place between 2005 and 2015. here are a few pictures from those pioneering years for the UK reggaetón scene. Today, the founders of La Bomba run Viva Reggaeton, the UK's largest weekly Latin clubnight at Vauxhall. https://www.reggaeton.co.uk
