Dreams from Peru is an exhibition of Peruvian artist Patricia Bidi's personal, playful, and poetic linocuts. This is a follow up to Bidi's most recent exhibition, Dreams and Traces. From December 8 to 21, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Bidi's work will be on display at the Peruvian Embassy.

The works share Bidi's childhood, her family's dreams and influences, her experiences moving to London, and her life after she moved here.

Bidi's linocuts communicate her dreams through vibrant, intense colours and forms, drawing on her deep roots in Peruvian culture. She tells stories from her childhood and combines them with her adventures in London. Bidi reveals to us a distinct amalgamation of her Peruvian life experiences and dreams through all of this.

Bidi has done several exhibitions this year, some of which she helped create. Among the locations are:

  • Stockholm
  • Vienna
  • Paris
  • New York
  • London.

Bidi was also one of four members of the London Latinx community who worked with Cecilia Vicuña to help realise her current work, Brain, Quipu, Forest. Vicuna’s installations can be seen in the Turbine Hall of Tate Modern until April 2023.

“I travel through the things I research and create. It’s an adventure.” - Patricia Bidi
