She will be focussing on the llanero repertoire – music of the tropical plains of Colombia and Venezuela – from her forthcoming record on Mais Um Discos.

Luzmira is accompanied by three virtuoso musicians: Colombian Harpist Diego Laverde, Venezuelan Adolfredo Pulido on bass and Venezuelan master percussionist Carlos Talez.

“To be a llanero is to be from the landscape, from the earth, from the plain, from the stars, from the distant horizon… and that is sublime” Luzmira Zerpa

“Astoundingly rich and expressive voice” Songlines

“Flamboyant and Powerful” The Guardian
