North London-based lyric tenor Nicholas Martin will take to the stage at Lauderdale House on Friday 4th July, 2025,  joined by celebrated pianist Lora Dimitrova, for a captivating evening of Spanish and Latin American-inspired music.

The concert offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience a live preview of Nicholas’s long-awaited debut album, Destello Azul, which releases on 20th June 2025 via Azure Records. Vinyl copies of the album will be available at the event.

The Haringay based tenor hails from the fishing village of Catalan Bay, Gibraltar, Nicholas’s voice is shaped by the rhythms and beauty of his coastal heritage. In Destello Azul (Blue Sparkle), he presents a heartfelt collection of romantic songs that chronicle pivotal emotional moments in his life.

With his distinctive blend of raw honesty and vocal finesse, in Destello Azul, Nicholas breathes new life into Argentinian tangos, the iconic 1960s Puerto Rican hit "Puro Teatro" (Tite Curet Alonso), and soul-stirring ballads "Eres Todo En Mí" and "Sin Miedo a Nada". The album closes with "Hijo de la Luna", a haunting and tragic legend set to music by José María Cano.  A number of these will also be performed in concert.

Also an accomplished visual artist, Nicholas painted the album’s cover artwork—an evocative acrylic of the alleyway he once called home in Catalan Bay. His London home is filled with vivid oil and watercolour artworks, especially intricate portraits of birds.
