THE MAY REGGAETON RECAP | 2026

In case you haven't heard - you definitely have - Bad Bunny has kicked off his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour and has treated fans to a surprise guest each show, with one familiar face of appearing on this list (Young Miko). This month has ushered in the heat and then brought torrential rain too, similar to a bachata and reggaeton-fused single you'll see below. There's plenty of collaborations with a Puerto Rican 'Dream Team' and a transcontinental trio that feature on the FIFA World Cup soundtrack. Another song even doubles as a party anthem and political statement, what more could you ask for?

THE MAY REGGAETON RECAP | 2026

Young Miko and De La Rose – Dream Team

“Mira quién se aparece” it’s a Puerto-Rican link-up as Miko and De La Rose prove how they really are the ‘Dream Team’. This track is part of five more that make up  Do Not Disturb: Late Checkout, the deluxe version of Baby Miko’s latest albumBoth being reggaeton-trap fusion artists, this collaboration was always going to be top class and their flirty energy and PR-inspired lyrics help too. Whether it’s Miko’s “Quiere que le meta en el backstage del Choli” paired with “Ey, booty arriba y tu carita down” or the red-headed Rose’s “Tú mi PR pa' El Conejo” – It’s pure bliss.

Greeicy – Mal o Bien

Following the same route musically as ‘Curándote’, ‘Mal o Bien’ feels like a murkier and sultrier older sister. Where the prior single highlights Greeicy’s lighter side, this number doubles down on her sassiness through a hard-hitting dembow-driven instrumental. Coming in at just over two minutes, this single would’ve definitely benefitted to be lengthier to reinforce the Colombian performer’s sassy nature. Although the chorus poses, “Baby, yo no sé si tú me haces mal o bien” there’s no confusion in identifying this song’s hit potential. If one line delivers more than others, it’s obviously “Dios bendiga esos genes tuyos” – Now that’s some witty songwriting.

Lola Indigo and Lucho RK – El Bachatón De La L

The title of this track perfectly sums up this collaboration as the two Spanish artists join forces to blend bachata and reggaeton. Indigo makes a request as she sings “Dile, si te preguntan, que tú ya has encontra'o tu mitad”, while Lucho refers to the pair as “Adán y Eva, ya lo escribió Paulo Londra” before citing Londra’s trap-hit of the same name. This song takes on many lives just during the first 40 seconds alone, a guitar solo, then bachata into a dembow beat drop, all of which complement each other. This duet is exciting and innovative.

Becky G – EPA

Former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Valentina lip-syncs the opening declaring “This isn’t just music, sugar / this is healing and cleansing”. Just like this sentiment, the video shows togetherness and community in all its various ways as Becky sings “Me está corriendo vida por las venas y yo dejo que fluya” and “El momento, tú vívelo”. Gomez is no stranger to making a statement, and this video continues this as she smashes into a giant ice cube with a sledgehammer as a direct disagreement with ICE’s actions, it’s commendable. The song itself is loud and proud, and why not? It has horns, drums and a catwalk-ready introduction.

Jombriel and Jøtta – Combi Completa

It might be your first time getting introduced to Jombriel but either way he’s sure “Si tú ta' enferma, yo tengo la cura pa' tu mal de cora”, and if the answer is a dancefloor filler, we can put our trust in him. The chorus may be simplistic, but considering the fact this is a feel-good track about “Una combi completa”, it would be rude not to join in with the chant-like “Sacúdelo, uhm, sacúdelo / Sacúdelo, mami, sacúdelo”. The Ecuadorian act will always be listed next to Jøtta, the two come as a package deal, with this producer creating these super melodies and beats.

Bonus Track:

Lisa, Anitta and Rema – Goals (Fifa World Cup 2026)

This isn’t the first time Blackpink member Lisa has found herself on a track with a multi-lingual artist, the first being Rosalía, now she opts for Brazilian powerhouse Anitta alongside Rema. There’s no question about whether these three artists can create a hit, they all have respectively, and this anthem proves it all once more. This might be a track for the World Cup, however the ‘Goals’ being referred to definitely aren’t the ones scored in the back of a net, as Anitta boasts “Tengo lo que estás buscando, aquí еstá tu Brazilian body”. The two ladies end the track “Yes, I’m goals”, they really didn’t lie.
