Danica:

In Ceviche, the first thing that strikes you is the great music and the intricately thought out décor, record covers from the seventies, Pop art and other Peruvian kitch.

It all conspires to perfectly put you in the mood for Ceviche and Pisco Sour.  Though sharing the same owner as Andina, the atmosphere here is different, you feel like you are in a Cevicheria in one of the bohemian districts of Lima.  When the first nibbles and Pisco Sours arrive you forget you are in Soho.

The selection of dishes is not as big as say Tierra Peru, which has everything on the menu, but enough to give you a good taste of Peruvian food and again so well cooked and presented it is a feast for the palate and your eyes. Try the Causa and the Lomo Saltado.

Maria Teresa:

As a Peruvian living in London for more than 20 years, Ceviche makes me feel at home and I enjoy inviting local friends to introduce them to a taste of what Peru has to offer in terms of flavour and atmosphere.

Even though the menu is not extensive, there is something for each palate.   The Ceviche, Tiradito, Causa, the Anticuchos, excellently prepared and wonderful examples of Peruvian flavours.

The Pisco Sour is amazing!  I have visited Ceviche on several occasions, at lunch time, afternoon and dinner time, and the atmosphere is always enjoyable. Well done Martin Morales! Thank you for the gift of Peru you have brought to Soho!

Definitely a restaurant to return to again and again.

Judy:

This cafe/restaurant has a great location in the heart of Soho.  It was very busy and noisy but the atmosphere was so fantastic that I didn't mind this and I loved listening to Peruvian radio in the loos! The food is served tapas-style and nearly everything we tasted was delicious except for the red mullet which was very disappointing.

My favourite dishes were the crab causa, the skewers of beef heart and the palm heart salad followed by  the quinoa pudding and chocolate tart. The staff were very friendly and efficient but I’m not sure I agree with their suggestion that each customer should order four dishes as this plus dessert and drinks can make for quite an expensive meal. In conclusion, a fun and truly different experience.
